Internship Training & Report
This module is aimed at introducing to us to the requirements, activities and operations involved in working in architectural / construction practices. The purpose is to facilitate the involvement of our skills in professional attachments to architectural practices in order to develop an understanding of the general nature, principles and procedure of law and legislation as applied to architectural drawings, especially the Building by-laws. We will also be exposed to the process of authority submission for various drawings from an architectural practice and the range of contract documentation produced to support these drawings. Via a full-time internship attachment, we will further appreciate the documentation and report-writing skills required of an employee (architectural assistant / architect) in a typical architect’s firm.
We're being instructed to be trainee in one of the architectural practice company in order to complete this semester's requirements. This will allow us to experience the working world, for what's going on and how's it gonna be like. Reports were to be done and being signed at the end of the internship from our supervisor for evidence of completing the works inside office.
In the end of the entire training for internship, scheduling and timing for deadline is strictly important because we're to be fully responsible of the task given to us. I definitely gain a lot of experiences inside this company that I am working in. Lastly, I would like to thank my supervisor and colleagues for guiding me and lecturing me through out the 10 weeks.
